***WINTER BOWLING PROGRAM BRIGHTON BOWLING CLUB 2011 ***
Here's our weekly program where VISITORS ARE MOST WELCOME TUESDAY AFTERNOONS commencing 29th March @ 12.15pm, we are holding the BBC Two Bowl triples. Each day the competition will comprise 2 games, each of three 5-end sections, with refreshments during the break. Single entries only, from both men and women. Entrants are asked to give their usual Pennant Division and place in the team, so matched teams can be made up by the event manager. The idea is to give bowlers of all levels a game a good competition with a chance of winning. Entries will close Monday evening before each game – apply by phone 8520 9669, or email brightonbowling@bigpond.com, or place your name on the list at the club. Dress code is mufty. Entry fee is $10 per player, and includes a ticket in a raffle to be drawn at the close of play. Prizes are $50 per player for the overall winner, plus $20 per player for each best game result (excluding the overall winner). WEDNESDAY EVENINGS for 13 weeks, commencing 30th March, it's the 'Resting Toucher' two bowl triples event. FREE SAUSAGE SIZZLE commences @ 5.00pm. (substitutes allowed) Dress code is 'mufty'. Either enter a team yourself or put your name down to be included in one of the composite teams. Two games of 11 ends with cash prizes every week for best 2nd game winner and best overall team. The first game commences @ 12.30pm. Dress code is 'mufty'. At the completion of the second game a light hot food snack will be provided to warm you up before you go home. Cost is $10 per player. Tuesday Triples 2009 - 2010 Brighton Bowling Club continues its very popular Tuesday Triples at our new spectacular 'Lawn Bowling Complex'.Format: 2 games of 15 ends commencing at 12.30 pm sharp concluding approx. 4.30 pm 1 game on grass and 1 game on either of the indoor greens. Green fees: $8 per player or $24 per team and includes afternoon tea. Season commences Tuesday 6th October and runs through every tuesday till the end of April 2010. Enquires: Alan Topp, Tuesday Triples manager 9592 6782 Usage of the Indoor Greens Availabilty: The indoor greens are available from 9 am till 10 pm Monday to Friday and from 6 pm on Saturdays and from 9 am till 5 on Sundays.Entries are now being accepted for 2010 and a full and comprehensive program is being developed including a morning schools pennant. Twilight competitions for mens and ladies and mixed. Further details and entries may be lodged with G. Maskell on 8520 9600. Our RVBA Division 1, 2, 3 and 4 sides play their pennant on Saturdays on the indoor and all opponents are cordially invited to commence practice from 11 am till 12 noon saturdays at no cost.
