BRIGHTON BOWLING AND SPORTING CLUBS INCORPORATED KICKS ANOTHER GOAL
Ken Armstrong, Chairman of the Board of the club, has been instrumental in providing the Brighton and surrounding areas with yet another community service
In accordance with his philosophy of broadening the community service network, Ken assisted in the establishment of the Dendy Park Bridge Club which opened its doors on the 8th of May. It is located in the Park View room.
Those of you who already play are well aware of the joy as well as the many benefits that this wonderful game provides.
It is a companion for life. It allows participants to wrestle with its many challenges amongst and with old and new friends.
It also provides endless opportunities for after-game discussion about how you got away with murder or the damnable luck of the opposition, whichever fits the occasion. On a more serious note, it keeps your mind young and active, with the benefits that this provides.
Those of you that do not yet play the game have not been forgotten.
There are plans afoot to establish a teaching service in the near future.
Tea, coffee and alcoholic beverages are available within easy reach.
The management of the club is in the very capable hands of George Gaspar and Boris and Miriam Tencer, all highly regarded in the bridge world.
This is their invitation to current and future players to join the club's growing bridge "family". You will be made most welcome!
